PTASECURE was developed by Jacqueline Greenwood, a mother of four children who has served on the Executive Board of the Tomlinson Middle School PTA for two years and has been a Committee Chair for the Mill Hill Elementary School PTA. She is responsible for bringing both of these PTAs online.

During the summer of 2008, the Tomlinson Middle School PTA Executive board met to discuss ideas for eliminating the duplication of work done by those responsible for Membership, Treasury, Student/Parent Directory, Website and Email Newsletter. Greenwood proposed the development of a customized website solution that would achieve this goal. After endless hours of development and testing, the website went live in August 2008.

During the second to last week in August, parents received a package from Tomlinson Middle School that contained important student information. Also enclosed, was a personalized letter from the PTA that announced the new website and provided login details.

Before the first day of school, 40% of membership income for the entire year had already been collected and processed. Parents and faculty loved that they could join the PTA and pay their membership dues or printout a completed membership form online....saving them time and energy. PTA Volunteers loved to see a great part of their work disappear!

Due to the success of this website, Greenwood developed PTASECURE.com so other PTAs could benefit from her web site design. Instead of every PTA paying for an expensive SSL certificate to secure their website, PTASECURE can host your PTA's domain name (if you already have one) and redirect users to your PTA's secure site on PTASECURE.com.
